Berean
Family Worship Center (BFWC)
is a spirit
filled body of
BFWC is a teaching ministry, dedicated to searching the scriptures in order to build individuals and families strong in their faith. We endeavor to produce sons and daughters for the Father in order to extend the Kingdom of God.
BFWC was established on December 6, 1985, in the home of the founders, Pastor Walter Henderson III and his wife, Evangelist Joycelyn Pernell-Henderson. God gave Pastor Henderson the name “Berean” which was taken from the city of Berea in Acts 17:10-12:
“And
the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who
coming thither went into the Synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than
those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with readiness of mind, and
searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
On
August 30, 1992 with approximately 25 members,
BFWC
was
able to purchase their first facility. Then again in 2004, God had again
shown favor towards
BFWC
by
blessing them to purchase a much larger facility.

Statement of Beliefs:
We Believe.....The Bible
is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative written Word of God.
We Believe.....In only
one God that eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We Believe.....In the
deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His substitutional death for mankind, in His bodily resurrection, in His
ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal return to this
earth to rule in power.
We Believe.....The only
means of being cleansed and forgiven of sin is through repentance and faith
in the finished work of Jesus Christ our Lord.
We Believe.....The
redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross, removes the curse of the Law,
entitling the believer to receive the blessings of Abraham, which includes
all of our needs being met spiritually, bodily, and materially.
We Believe.....In the
Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues, according
to Acts 2:1-4, and is given to the believers who ask for it.
We Believe.....In the
resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to everlasting life
and the lost to everlasting damnation.
